Cricket U16 around 1964

Martin Jones writes "A rare sighting of Mr Robinson, who would have been Head of Biology and George Winter's boss, although less inclined to talk about the processes of excretion than George. Succeeded at the school by Mr Openshaw who was as tall as Mr Robinson was short. Mr Robinson was keen on rugby but don't recall him being an ace at cricket. Back row - N/K, Front Row - l to r - Mathie Patterson, Christie, possibly Smith, Lock, possibly Turk, N/K"

Paris trip 1965

Martin Jones can give details on this photo that has been seen before on here.

Back row, left to right, Dave Franks, myself, Miles Chapman, Philip Odell, Mike Finnis, Front row, Pete Dewey and Adrian Fothergill.

This was taken at Versailles (or was it Fontainebleau?) on a sweltering hot afternoon in July 1965, and whilst Pettitt & Co went off to admire the art inside, a group of us tried to keep cool in the shade outside, which was hard going in full school uniform. We were sorely tempted to duck ourselves in the beautiful fountains but thought better of it!
