Martin Jones has been back to the old school site

Martin Jones writes:

Hi, I had a spare couple of hours yesterday before going to the Palace, so I walked up the hill from the station to have a look at the 'new' Purley HS, a big change from when I was last there 2-3 years ago and the Hall that we knew and (?) loved was still standing. Some photos attached which I hope you can access. I was not able to get into the College (will we be able to during the summer?), although it was open, but I was able to get round the right hand side (past where the junior bogs were) to where the playing fields start, as this is now a large car park (how times have changed)!

One photo from the Palace attached - Martin Everett, Philip Odell, myself, and a mutual friend, and yes, we were still smiling at the end as the Palace won!

2. Looking towards old pavilion
3. Front right where the 1953 photo of the ATC was taken
4. Front middle looking towards Hall
5. Front left and little used cycle racks
6. At the Palace!
